Crooked Pines Farm Pumpkin Festival

There will be fun activities and booths from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 1st and 2nd. This year there will be a corn maze covering an acre of the farm! There will also be traditional fall fun activities including the pumpkin patch, hayrides, petting farm, and corn box in addition to other fun activities for the kids like face painting, crafts, a bounce house, mining for treasure and more! Adults can enjoy visiting vendor booths where there will be homemade and original crafts, produce, and festival treats. You can also enjoy live bluegrass music from area artists. All admission passes include access to the pumpkin patch, hayride, petting farm, bounce house, corn maze and all the festival games. Mining for treasure is an additional cost, and as always, parking is free. Come visit Crooked Pines Farm the first weekend in October for fall family fun on the farm!

The Taste of Eatonton

Bring your appetite and join your favorite local restaurants on Monday, Oct. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m for the area’s largest foodie event, The Taste of Eatonton, at The Plaza Arts Center! Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Children five and under eat for free. Tickets are available for purchase at Farmers & Merchants Bank’s Eatonton and Lake Oconee branches; The Peoples Bank’s Eatonton, Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair branches; Exchange Bank; Pinnacle Credit Union, and the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce.

Chili Cook Off & Fall Festival

Join the fun at Madison’s 12th Annual Downtown Chili Cook-off & Fall Festival in Town Park. Chili teams compete in two categories. The public chili sampling begins at 12:30 sharp. Sample, and then vote, for your favorite chili, shop the handmade/homegrown market, listen to music in the toe-tapping music tent… and enjoy a great day in Madison.

Family fun day at Lockerly

Family Fun Day will take place at the Lockerly arboretum on Saturday, October 8th from 10a.m. to 2p.m. You can explore the arboretum, visit the Woods Museum Bee Exhibit and vote for your favorite scarecrow. The art students from Georgia College will be offering a Kids in Clay pottery workshop. There will be guided hikes, candle making, leaf prints, microscopes, geology activities and much more. Admission is free and everyone is welcome!

Deep Roots Festival

The Deep Roots Festival is on October 22nd from 9a.m. to 10p.m. The admission fee is $8 per a person, or $6 per a person for 4 or more people. Kids 10 and under receive free kid zone passes! Deep Roots is a cultural arts and music festival that is located in historic downtown Milledgeville and composed of regional and national talents, artists and vendors. Entertainment includes an antique car show, live entertainment ranging from bluegrass to rock-and-roll, artist market, and LittleRoots KidZone.

Briar Patch Arts Festival

The Annual Briar Patch Arts Festival will be another spectacular, unique arts festival on October 29th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Eatonton. There will be live entertainment will be on the music stage. Specialty arts and crafts vendors will be showcasing handmade soaps, photography, paintings, jewelry, pottery, wood working, handmade glassware, clothing, potted plants, children’s items and much more.

Downtown Trick or Treat

Local merchants will welcome ghost and goblins at the downtown Trick or Treat from 5p.m. to 7p.m. on October 31 in Downtown Greensboro. The event is free for children 12 and under.
